Markus Huber-Lang

After graduation and dissertation at the medical school of the University of Freiburg, Germany, Markus Huber-Lang completed a postdoc-fellowship at the University of Michigan, focusing on the complement system. He then "squared the circle” as trained trauma surgeon side by side with translational research efforts. 

In 2000 he was granted the national Emmy Noether excellence program and became afterwards the leader of the Research Unit KFO200 at Ulm University addressing the early danger response after trauma. In 2010, Markus Huber-Lang was appointed a full-professor for Trauma-Immunology. Recently, he became the co-speaker of the Collaborative Trauma Research Center 1149 in Ulm.
